Kids Summer Camp
To Be Announced –
|Time:||7am to 12pm|
Sleepover Wednesday to Thursday
Your children will learn:
Monday & Tuesday
We will cover the following topics over the first 2 days:
- Different Riding Styles (Western, English, Driving)
- Livestock Health & Happiness (feeding, grooming, bathing, lunging and basic medical treatment of horses & cattle)
- Livestock Behavior (reading body language & what it means, horses & cattle in the herd, prey animal responses)
- Training Techniques (working cattle, roping, driving the mini-horse cart, fixing unwanted behavior, riding bareback, ground work, and for the more intermediate & advanced riders- working with young horses)
We focus on actual riding, so kids will be riding every morning for an extended amount of time.
Pack a lunch because your child will be with us all day with dinner, a movie, and a sleepover in the bunkhouse. So bring a sleeping bag and don’t forget to pack shorts and a bathing suit.
The only day parents, family, and friends are invited to camp. Please arrive at 10:00 am to watch your children participate in a gymkhana so they can show off some of their new skills. Afterwards we will BBQ, so bring a side dish or dessert.
